Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted from 8:15 am - 10:15 am. There were 12 children in care being supervised by 9 staff. The children were observed participating in Montessori activities. The facility was observed for age/stage appropriate supplies, activities, and equipment for the ages of children requested for licensure. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Background checks for all staff and agents were reviewed and in compliance. A total of 5 child records and 8 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation of the facility it was determined that not all areas were maintained in safe condition. Evidence: 1.) The paneling is beginning to detach from the sink cabinet creating sharp edges on the bottom-left and right side of the cabinet. 2.) Two bolts are protruding from the playground barrier creating a tripping hazard.
Plan of Correction: Administration will ensure that the cabinet and bolts are repaired.
