Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 09/11/2024. The on-site inspection began at 2:00 pm and ended at 4:30 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 73 children present and 11 staff. The inspector reviewed ten children?s records and six staff records on-site. This inspection included:

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION

Based on observation of the three year old classroom it was determined that not all hazardous substances were kept locked to prevent access by children. Evidence: Two spray bottles of disinfectant were observed in an unlocked cabinet above the handwashing sink.

Based on observation and interview it was determined that a ratio of one staff for every eight children was not always maintained for two year old children. Evidence: There were ten children observed in the older two year old classroom being supervised by one staff.

Based on observation and interview it was determined that shelter in place procedures were not practiced a minimum of twice per year. Evidence: 1.) It was reported that shelter in place drills had not been conducted for 2023 or this year. 2.) There was no documentation that a shelter in place drill had occurred for 2023 or this year.
