Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:15am-10:45am. There were 111 children directly supervised by 18 staff. The physical plant, 7 staff records, 7 children?s and medication records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, story time, practicing sight words, and eating snack. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and provider statement, the results of a national criminal record check were not received prior to hire.
Evidence:
Staff 1's was hired on 2/6/2023, the results of a national criminal record check were received on 2/14/2023.
Plan of Correction: Corrected by receipt of criminal record check results. Future staff will not be hired until results are received.

Based on observation, areas of the center were not maintained in a safe and operable condition.
Evidence:

Areas of the chair rail were observed to have peeling paint and splintering wood in the Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms.
Plan of Correction: We will repair the paint this weekend.
