A monitoring inspection was conducted on 091/04/2022. There were 4 children present, totaling 9 points with 1 caregiver. A tour of the home was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with caregiver. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation the licensee did not ensure all requirements were met when having stairs in the home.

The licensee had a pressure mounted gate used as a protective barrier at the stair opening of the home.

Plan of Correction: The licensee will put a child safety at the main childcare doorway so that the current protective barrier at the stairs can remain in place.
