A monitoring inspection was conducted on 01/20/2023. There were 9 children present and 4 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation the center did not have a copy of the findings of the last inspection posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.

Based on a record review the center did not ensure all staff had the required background checks.

Staff #1, hired 11/17/2022, did not have documentation of a central registry background check.

Plan of Correction: The background has been sent, however the owner did not keep a copy of the sent paperwork. The check that was sent was not cashed. The owner will call the Office of Background Check Investigation today to follow-up on the status of the check.

Based on observation the center did not ensure all electrical outlets had protective covers.
Evidence:
There was an electrical outlet with no protective cover in the area directly outside of the main Wonder Kids room, where there was a shoe cubby.
