Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 11/25/2024, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:00am and ended at 11:45am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 8 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-260-A
The center shall provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection.

The center has not had an annual fire inspection in the past 14 months.
Plan of Correction: Center Director showed inspector Fire Marshall response to request 9/2024 that stated they are very busy and unable to schedule at that time. Director contacted Fire Marshall on 11/25/24, Inspection is scheduled for 12/2/24.
Standard 8VAC20-780-260-B
After the first license, annual approval from the health department shall be provided, or approvals of a plan of correction, for meeting requirements for water supply and sewage disposal system.

The center has not received annual approval from the health department for meeting requirements for water supply and sewage disposal system in the past 2 years.
Plan of Correction: Director has contacted local health department to request environmental sanitation inspection.
