Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/02/2023. 73 children were directly supervised by 15 staff. The physical space, 5 children's records, 4 staff records, posted documents, attendance, Evacuation drills and required posted documents were reviewed. Medications were in compliance. Children were observed during preparing for lunch, washing hands, engaging in age-appropriate materials and interacting with the staff. Interactions were positive. Developmentally appropriate materials were available in all classrooms. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the program. Based on record review, the center did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill. Evidence: The center did a Shelter in Place drill and a Lockdown drill instead of doing an evacuation drill for the months of August and September.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure to do an evacuation drill every month. The shelter in place and lockdown drills will be conducted in addition to the evacuation drills.
