A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the code compliance inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in code were reviewed during this SHSI.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION
For each group of children, the vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
There were 15 children present in Classroom 3, but only 14 children marked present on the attendance record.

Plan of Correction: Already corrected. When an employee of the center sends their child to summer camp the teacher needs to remember to account for the child. This caused our class to have one student not accounted for on the sign-in sheet. We will make sure the parent signs them in instead of just dropping off going forward.

Staff shall be evaluated by a health professional to determine to be free of tuberculosis at least every two years from the date of the initial screening.
The TB screening for Staff 1 was overdue by 2 months. The TB screening for Staff 2 was overdue by 6 months. The TB screening for Staff 3 was overdue by 1 week.

Plan of Correction: Partially completed: going forward a spreadsheet is being used to keep track of employee information. Staff 1 and Staff 3 will be completed by 08/31/2025 and Staff 2 already completed 07/31/2025.

All staff who work directly with children shall have a current certification in CPR within 90 days of employment.
Staff 4, who has been employed for 10 months, does not have a current certification in CPR.

Plan of Correction: Staff 4 had trouble finding a local CPR class to attend; will be taking a class on 10/14/2025.
