A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/6/2024 at 2:12pm and concluded on 5/14/2024 at 9:10am in response to a self-reported incident. Information gathered during the inspection, including multiple interviews with staff and a parent, determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on interviewing with classroom teachers, the director, and a parent, it was determined that behavioral guidance was not constructive in nature, age and stage appropriate, and was not intended to redirect children to appropriate behaviors
Evidence: A teacher swung their clipboard towards a child, to get them back in line, while the class was walking in the hallway towards the playground. It was not clear if the clipboard made contact with the child's head.

Plan of Correction: The teacher was terminated from their position at the school. Staff members were given instruction on appropriate behavioral guidance.
