Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on February 23, 2023, from 10am to 11:15am. There were 7 children and 3 staff members present. The Inspector reviewed six children?s records and three staff records. The Inspector observed staff and children?s interactions throughout the inspection. Children were observed during group activity, handwriting, singing songs, snack, and free play. There is no medication being administered at the center and there is no transportation provided at this time. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented. The violation is listed on the violation notice issued to the center and were reviewed with the owner at the exit interview.

Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure to implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.
Evidence:
1. There were no practice evacuation drills completed for the months of December 2022 and January 2023.
2. Staff #1 confirmed there were no practice evacuation drills completed for December 2022 and January 2023.
Plan of Correction: The plan of correction: The center will ensure that monthly practice evacuation drills are completed timely and monthly.
