Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted December 4, 2023, from 10:45am to approximately 12pm. There were 8 children and 4 staff members present. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and four staff records. The Inspector observed staff and children?s interactions throughout the inspection. Children were observed during group activity, handwriting, singing songs, snack, and free play. There is no medication being administered at the center and there is no transportation provided at this time. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented. The violation is listed on the violation notice issued to the center and reviewed with the owner at the exit interview

Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure to maintain documentation of emergency evacuation, shelter-in place, and lockdown drills.
Evidence:
1. There were no practice evacuation drills documented for the months of June through November for the year 2023.
2. Staff #1 confirmed there was no documentation of evacuation drills completed for June through November 2023.
Plan of Correction: The plan of correction: The center will ensure that monthly practice evacuation drills are documented in a logbook.
