Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal study was conducted from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. There were 23 children in care being supervised by 3 staff. The children were observed resting. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of eight child records and four staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation it was determined that not all procedures were followed as required. Evidence: 1.) There are two rips in the diaper pad in the toddler room making the diaper pad no longer nonabsorbent. 2.) There is a rip in the diaper pad in the two's/three's classroom making the diaper pad no longer nonabsorbent. 3.) The portable sinks utilized for handwashing after diapering in the toddler room and the two's/three's room does not have a heating mechanism allowing for warm water for handwashing.
Plan of Correction: The ripped diaper pads will be replaced. The heating mechanisms will be added to the portable sinks.
