Inspector Notes
An unannounced inspection was initiated and completed on 08/28/2024 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 08/22/2024 relating to allegations of supervision and behavioral guidance. This inspection included:

The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation does not support the allegations; therefore, the complaint is determined to be not valid. Though not a part of the original complaint, violations that were not reported were found and are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 09/13/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Based on observation of the Toddler classroom it was determined that not all procedures for handwashing were followed. Evidence: Staff did not wash their hands after wiping a child's nose.

Based on observation of the toddler room it was determined that not all procedures for diapering were followed; only items used for diapering shall be on the changing table. Evidence: Toy buckets and craft supplies were observed on the changing table in the toddler room.

Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
Based on review of attendance records it was determined that the center failed to document the arrival and departure of each child as it occurs. Evidence: 1.) The attendance record in the Toddler room reflected five children present, however there were six children physically present. 2.) The attendance record in the two year old room reflected eight children present, however there were seven children physically present.
