Inspector Notes

An in-person initial subsidy inspection was conducted on 1/13/23 from 10:30 am to 11:45am. There were no children in care. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records, 1 household member record and the vendor's record to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations. A walk through of the home was conducted. Attendance records, the emergency preparedness plan and first aid supplies were reviewed. There was one crib on site which was checked for compliance.
Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Based on observation, the diapering surface was not non-absorbent.
Evidence: There was a hole in the surface of the diaper pad that exposed the inner filling, making it an absorbent surface.
Plan of Correction: The diaper pad will be replaced.

Based on observation, the provider did not have a diaper disposal system that was foot operated.
Evidence: The diaper pail at the home had a button at the top that would have to be pushed by the hand to open.
Plan of Correction: The diaper pail will be replaced by one that is foot operated.
