Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on August 27, 2025 and completed on August 27, 2205. on-site inspection began at 11:40 AM and ended at 4:04 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 88 children present and 19 staff. The inspector reviewed 10 children?s records and 10 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on September 16, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

In room #6, chipped and peeling paint on the wall within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: All areas have been repainted as of 8/29. A binder is in place to report any issues including paint chips.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Staff shall wash hands with soap and running water before and after a diaper change.

In room #7, staff did not wash hands after changing a child?s diaper.
Plan of Correction: Staff member was retrained on 8/28/2025.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home, the food container shall be clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.

In room #3, four containers of baby food were not dated, two bottles were not dated, and two of the four containers of food did not identify the owner.
Plan of Correction: Teachers were retrained on policy. Parents received a reminder on labeling and labeling station is available too. Checks in place to insure compliance.
