Inspector Notes

An initial inspection was conducted on April 12, 2023. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications/training, physical plant, equipment, emergency supplies, emergency preparedness plan and outside playground. Eight classroom were observed to have equipment and supplies appropriate to serve children infants through five years. Five additional classrooms were observed and are available for use as enrollment increases. Each classroom includes a restroom that has a toilet and a sink. An additional sink is available in each classroom. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review, facility did not ensure the emergency preparedness plan had all required procedural components.

Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not address the following: establishment of center emergency officer and back-up officer to include 24-hour contact telephone number for each; accommodations or special requirements for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs to ensure their safety; procedures to reunite children with a parent or authorized person designated by the parent; and continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.
