A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Standard 8VAC20-790-170-G
The vendor shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all caregivers, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential.

The record of Child #5 indicated the child has a diagnosed food allergy. The vendor did not have a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitives, and dietary restrictions.
Plan of Correction: A list with this information will be created as required.
Standard 8VAC20-790-250-B
Within the first 90 days of employment or service all caregivers shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education.

Caregiver #2, who has been employed for over four months, has not completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Plan of Correction: Caregiver #2 will complete the required training and will obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

All caregivers shall have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment.
