Inspector Notes

An unannounced (2 month) monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:17am-11:02am with the provider on site. There were 5 children (16 points) with 1 caregiver and 1 substitute caregiver. A sample of 2 children's files and 2 caregivers/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: playing with toys outside. Interactions between the children and caregivers were positive. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. The physical space, attendance records and drill record were reviewed. There were no medications on site. The Provider does have Medication Administration Training. Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not obtain the fingerprint results prior to the caregivers first day of employment.
Evidence:
1. Substitute #2 (start date 8/30/2023) was substituting at the provider's home today. The regular Assistant had an emergency and was out. The provider did not have the fingerprint results for the substitute.
Plan of Correction: I should have the results in the next day or two. She had them done yesterday.

Based on review, the provider's records did not contain all required information for the substitute.
Evidence:
1. Substitute #2's (start date 8/30/2023) file was missing one reference.
