Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 11/07/2024. The on-site inspection began at 8:47am and ended at 9:45am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present and 2 caregivers; the point total was 14. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 caregiver/household members records on-site on 11/07/2024.
This inspection included document review, tour of the home and, observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 11/15/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-60-B
Children's records are required to contain two emergency contacts name, address and phone numbers. The record for Child #2 was missing one emergency contact name, address and phone number. The child was present during the inspection and had been in care for two months.
Plan of Correction: The mother of child #2 gave me a second contact: name, address and phone number of a relative out of State.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-C
Documentation of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills are required to be maintained.

The provider stated she completed a evacuation drill in June 2024 and September 2024, but did not document the drills..
Plan of Correction: I did the evacuation and shelter in place the same day. I have written about each one separately.
