Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was conducted on 9/16/24 from 11:25 am to 12:40pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present and 2 caregivers; the point total was 19. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records, 2 staff records, and 1 household member's record. This inspection included:
? document review (menu, emergency drill logs, authorization forms and attendance records)
? tour of the family day home
? observations- children were observed playing outdoors, playing with play dough, eating morning snack which included tator tots and apple slices. There were no children with food allergies or medications.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
1Evidence:
1. The evacuation drill log did not have any documentation for March, April and May 2024.
2. The provider stated that she misunderstood the frequency for evacuation drills and they were not practiced in those months.
