Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 2/12/2024 from 12:15 to 13:15. The provider had 12 children in care with 3 caregivers, total of 38 points. The children were observed playing and some of the children were napping. The provider has lots of space as well as supplies and toys for the children to explore. Lunch today was Rice, Corn, Lentils and Milk to drink and apples. Behavior guidance was discussed during the inspection. Reviewed 5 records for staff and household members as well as 4 children's records.A violation notice was given to the provider with this inspection summary.

Based on the review of the providers record, one child does not have a completed record.
Evidence: Based on the review of 4 children's files, one child , Child 1 has an authorization for emergency treatment that lists the old provider.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure the parent signs the form with my name on it.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-C
Based on the review of the emergency drill records and discussion with the provider, the provider failed to keep the records of the emergency drills from last year.
Evidence: The Emergency drill record from 2023 was destroyed. The provider stated that she did conduct the drills.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure I save the emergency drill records for the year.
