Inspector Notes
An unannounced focused, 60-day inspection was conducted on 7/11/23 from 9:20am to 10:50am with the provider, who was present with one assistant. There were six children in care, ranging in age from nine-months to five-years-old, for a total of 13 points. Older children were observed doing worksheets, having free play, using the restroom and washing hands, cleaning up toys, and getting stickers for helping clean up. The infant remained on the upper level with the assistant and was observed having free play. Breakfast this morning was a children?s cooking activity where they made ?waffle owls? with waffles, strawberries, and bananas. One new child record was reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on-site for children. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
