Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/2/24 from 10:30am to 12:00pm with the provider who was present with one assistant. There were 12 children in care, 10 daycare children and two household children, ranging in age from 18-months to five-years-old, for a total of 23 points. Children were observed playing outside with chalk and ride-on toys, transitioning inside and washing hands, eating lunch, using the restroom, and getting ready for nap. Three child records were reviewed. Caregiver and household member records were checked for updates. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. Lunch served was chicken nuggets, fruit cocktail, carrots, and ranch. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
