A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the monitoring inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in voluntary registration standards were reviewed during this SHSI. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-280-A
Each bathroom shall area provided for children shall have sinks that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120 F. The water in the bathroom sink, when measured with a thermometer, was 131 degrees.

Toilet chairs, when used, shall be emptied promptly, cleaned and sanitized after each use. A toilet chair located in the main childcare area had urine in it for approximately 40 minutes.
