Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection related to a license renewal was started in the center on January 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:50 PM and concluded on January 22, 2024. At the time of entrance, 11 children were in care with 3 staff member. The sample size consisted of 5 children?s records and 3 staff records. Children were observed eating lunch, preparing for and during their rest period.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure each restroom area provided for children shall have sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F.

Evidence: Two out of two restrooms available for children did not have warm running water in the restroom sink. Center staff confirmed the portable hot water heater for each sink had not been turned up.
