Inspector Notes

An unannounced inspection was initiated on 9/25/2023 in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing department on 9/22/2023 regarding allegations of inadequate supervision, program leader qualifications, nutrition, transportation, and daily activities for infants. The inspection was initiated on 9/25/2023 and completed on 9/27/2023. On 9/25/2023, the inspector was on site from approximately 10:30 am to 12:11 pm. Interviews with staff were completed, observations were made in the center, and documentation was reviewed. Additional interviews were conducted remotely.

The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation does not support the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be not valid. Though not a part of the original complaint, there were violations found during the inspection regarding staff record requirements and first aid training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) requirements. Based on a review of staff records and interview, the center did not ensure that at least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present had current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
