Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/23/24 and completed on 8/28/24. The on-site inspection on 8/23/24 began at 2:55 p.m. and ended at 4:05 p.m. The on-site inspection on 8/28/24 began at 11:00 a.m. and ended at 12:30 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 15 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and three staff records on-site. This inspection included document review (health and fire inspections, menu, license and previous inspection posted, emergency drill logs), tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 9/06/24. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure that cleaning materials were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
Multiple cleaning materials were observed on a table easily accessible to children in the lunchroom where children and staff were present. The Lead Child Care Manager acknowledged that the cleaning materials weren?t kept in a locked place as required.

Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure that emergency evacuation and shelter in place procedures or maps were posted in a location conspicuous to staff and children.

Evidence:
There were no emergency evacuation and shelter in place procedures or maps posted in the lunchroom where the children and staff were present. The Lead Child Care Manager acknowledged that the information was not posted as required.
