Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on 01/24/2024 between the hours of approximately 9:25 am and 11:05 am. There were 4 children present, ranging in ages from 9 months to 2 years (10 points), with the provider supervising. Children were observed while playing with toys.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations
5Based on observation, protective covers were not installed on all unused electrical outlets accessible to children under five years of age.
Evidence:
1) An electric outlet was observed not in use and without a protective cover.
Based on document review, a written record of children in attendance each day was not kept.
Evidence:
1) At the time of entrance, there were four children in care with the provider. The record of attendance did not have children recorded in attendance for the day. The last day that attendance was documented was 01/19/2024.
Evidence:
1) The diapering surface shall be nonabsorbent and washable - The diapering surface had a rip on it that prevented it from being nonabsorbent.
Evidence:
1) On the date of inspection, the 2023 emergency drills log provided for review, did not have an evacuation (fire) drill documented for the month of October 2023.
Based on document review, the current one-week period menu did not meet all requirements.
Evidence:
1) On the date of inspection, the posted menu was not dated for the one-week period as required. The posted menu was dated for the prior week (Jan 15 - Jan 19).
