Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/3/2024 from 1:22 pm to 3:33 pm. There were 20 children in care, ages seven months to four years, in three groups with four staff. Three child records, three staff records, zero medication records and associated records, and other documents were reviewed. Children were observed in indoor free play.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-A
Based on observation, the center failed to be maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

EVIDENCE:
Two floor tiles next to the wall between the kitchen and a bathroom door are coming loose and represent a trip hazard.
Plan of Correction: The tiles will be either replaced or glued down. Until that is done, staff keep children away from the floor area where the tiles are loose.
