Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-11:15am. There were 7 children (including two resident children) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The home, 2 caregiver records, 4 children?s records, 1 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and being bottle fed. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Caregiver 2's record did not contain the results of two reference checks, or the contact information of a person to contact in an emergency.
Plan of Correction: I have included reference checks (letters) in assistants file with emergency contacts.

Based on record review, the provider failed to orient the assistant by the end of their first week of assuming job responsibilities.

Caregiver 2's record did not contain documentation of having received an orientation.
