During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 1/23/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:20 a.m. and ended at 11:40 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 9 children present and 3 caregivers; the point total was 24. The inspector reviewed 9 children?s records and 4 caregiver/household members records on-site.This inspection included document review and a tour of the family day home, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Children's records shall contain all required information.

Child #6s record did not contain the families medical insurance policy holder and policy number.
Plan of Correction: We'll get this information today.
Standard 8VAC20-800-680-B
Caregivers shall ensure that children's hands are washed with liquid soap and warm running water before eating.

3 out of 3 infants did not have their hands washed with soap and running water by a caregiver before eating a morning snack.
Plan of Correction: The caregiver used baby wipes to wash their hands. We will make sure they start taking the babies to the bathroom to wash hands with soap and water.

Annually, the provider shall review with the parent the emergency contact information to ensure the information is correct and obtain the parents signed acknowledgment of the review.

Bottles shall be refrigerated and labeled with the child's full name and the date.

Three out of four bottles observed in the providers refrigerator was not labeled with any childs name or date.
