Inspector Notes
An announced initial inspection was conducted on September 14, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am. The applicant intends to operate a family day home for up to 7 children, ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years old. There were no children enrolled at the time of the inspection. The entire home, to include areas the children will be cared for, bathrooms and kitchen were inspected. First aid and emergency supplies, documentation for emergency evacuation drills, the emergency preparedness plan and required postings were reviewed. There were no violations identified during the inspection. A six month conditional license is recommended to allow the applicant to demonstrate continued compliance with the Standards for Licensed Family Day Homes. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued. Please contact the inspector at 757-404-2322 if there are any questions.
