Plan of Correction: Plan of Correction:
The center would like to clarify that a Central Registry Search was created in the Child Protective Service portal Prior to S1, S2, S3, S4 first date of employment in an effort to comply with the regulation. At the time of hire the center understood the regulatory requirement to be met upon initiating this request in the CPS portal system. It has since been clarified that the CPS portal only recognizes the date of submission, not the date the request was created. Due to this distinction in terminology the center did not intentionally fail to comply. This is a misunderstanding caused by differing terminology between the regulation (requested) and the CPS portal (Submitted).
Date to be Corrected:
To prevent future occurrence, the center has contacted CPS background investigations to get clarity on terminology used in the CPS portal. All future request will be fully submitted in the CPS portal prior to the employees first day of employment regardless of the create date.
