A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the code compliance inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in code were reviewed during this SHSI.

Each restroom area used by children shall be equipped with soap, toilet paper, and disposable towels or an air dryer within reach of the children.

Children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.
Staff 1 served a child in Classroom 1 a sippy cup without having the child wash their hands before drinking the beverage. Staff 4 stated that the children in Classroom 4 use hand sanitizer after meals rather than soap and running water or a disposable wipe.
