Inspector Notes
An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated on 11/26/2024 and completed on 12/06/2024 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 11/25/2024 relating to allegations of programs. The inspector reviewed 1 child?s record and 1 staff record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation(s); therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
The violation notice was update on 12/11/2024 to include plans of corrections.
Violations
2Staff 1 was observed alone supervising more than 10 children (all 3 years old) for over 15 minutes.
The following actions or threats thereof are forbidden: roughly handling a child.
On November 22, 2024, Staff 1 roughly handled Child 1, age 3.
by the center director or designated staff member. thorough incident review will be conducted, including interviews with involved staff,
witnesses, and children. All staff will undergo mandatory training on positive behavior management techniques, including how to manage children?s behaviors without resorting to physical force.
This training will focus on communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and
alternatives to physical interventions.
