During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 09/04/2025 and completed on 09/12/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:00 am and ended at 1:10 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 39 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records on-site and 7 staff records electronically on 09/12/2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
4Staff are to complete the VDOE sponsored online orientation course within 90 days of hire.
Staff 4 has not yet completed this course which is overdue by 5 months, and Staff 6 and Staff 7 have not yet completed this course which is overdue by 1 month.
There was no staff member on duty who has obtained instruction in performing the daily health observation.
The resilient surfacing (mulch) under the playground climbing equipment measured less than one inch and ground was visible.
The was no documentation of a monthly practice evacuation drill for June 2025.
