Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted with the provider on October 20, 2023, beginning at 9:25am and ending at 10:39am. There were no daycare children present during the inspection. The provider record and two household records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. There were no medications on site to be reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed. Not all the standards were able to be assessed during this initial inspection.

Standard 8VAC20-800-520-C
Based on observation of the crib in the family day home area it was determined that not all cribs were in compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Evidence: The white wooden crib in the family day home had a manufacture date of 09/2010. Per the CPSC, cribs with a manufacturer date before 06/28/2011 shall not be used.
Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she would purchase replacement crib.
