Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on April 26, 2024, beginning at 9:17 a.m. and ending at 10:20 a.m. with the provider. There were three children, ages 16 months, 2, and 2 years old, in the care of one caregiver for a total of 7 points. One child was observed sleeping in a bed. Two children were observed playing with age-appropriate toys while a age appropriate musical video was playing. Three children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider and three household member?s records were reviewed and in compliance. There were no medications on site to be reviewed. The provider has current Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed.

Based on a review of documentation, the provider failed to ensure emergency evacuation procedures were practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care. Evidence: There were no emergency escape drills conducted January, February, and March 2024.
