Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted with the provider on October 18, 2023 beginning at 1:20pm and ending at 2:10pm. There were no daycare children present during the inspection. The provider record and two household records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. There were no medications on site to be reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed. Not all the standards were able to be assessed during this initial inspection.

Standard 8VAC20-800-320-B
Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that all unused electrical outlets had a child-resistant protective cover. Evidence: There were 3 electrical outlets that did not have a protective covers in the daycare area.
Plan of Correction: The provider put electrical covers in the outlets during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-800-760-A
Based on observation, the provider did not have all of the required emergency supplies. Evidence: The first aid kit was missing tweezers, gloves, thermometer, and two triangular bandages.
Plan of Correction: The provider will purchase the missing items.
