Inspector Notes
An initial inspection was initiated and concluded on 3/6/2024. There were no children present. The inspector reviewed compliance in standards required for Family Day Homes. A total of 1 staff record and background checks for the business entity individual were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:50 am and concluded at 11:05 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
5Evidence: The provider confirmed the tv chord, speaker chord, and phone chord were hanging and within reach of children. The provider also confirmed the chord for an electric candle warmer was within reach of children and the liquid in the warmer was hot.
Evidence: The provider confirmed the landline phone present was not operable.
Evidence: The provider confirmed the protective barrier at the bottom of the indoor stair opening, leading to the upstairs of the home, was a pressure mounted gate.
Evidence: The provider confirmed they did not have an emergency preparedness and response plan.
Evidence: The provider confirmed there was not an operable thermometer in the refrigerator or freezer.
