Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 10/16/24 and completed on 10/16/24.The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. The inspection began at 3pm and ended at 3:50pm.There were 12 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-530-A-1
At least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present shall have current CPR.

On 10/16/24 there were 2 staff present with 12 children aged 5 years -11 years, neither staff had current certification in CPR.
Plan of Correction: Staff schedules will be updated to ensure that there is a staff present who has current certification in CPR. A class is being scheduled for November 2024.
