Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on March 27, 2024 between the hours of 9:15am-10:30am. There were a total of four children with five staff members present. Children were observed during circle time, movement, and engaged in group activities. A selection of staff and children records, and other documents were reviewed. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the Dolphins classroom, two bottles of bleach and water were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. The two bottles were located on a high shelf.
Plan of Correction: The two bottles of bleach and water were immediately locked up at the time of the inspection. All cleaning materials will be locked up moving forward.

Based on record review, children's records did not contain required information.
Evidence:
1. Child #3's record (Start date-03/27/2024) did not contain a the name, address, and phone number of a second emergency contact.
Plan of Correction: Management will get a second emergency contact from the parents and document the record.
