An unannounced, on-site subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated and completed on 8/23/24. The on-site inspection began at 9:15 am and ended at 10:35 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There was 1 child present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 1 child?s records and 3 staff records on-site. This inspection included documentation review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Within the first 90 days of employment or subsidy vendor approval all staff who work with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Staff A and B had not completed the Preservice Training within 90 days of employment as both have been employed for five months.
The center became a vendor on 4/30/24.

All staff who work with children shall have within 90 days of date of employment or 90 days from subsidy vendor approval current CPR certification. The CPR training shall include an in-person competency demonstration.
Staff A and B have been employed for 5 months and neither staff has obtained CPR training that included an in-person competency demonstration.
The center has been an approved vendor since 4/30/24.
