Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 06/04/2024. There were a total of 3 children (9 points) observed with 2 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: reading stories, playing with books, and taking a nap. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel and household members, physical environment, care of children, handwashing, diapering, medication, emergencies and nutrition. No records were reviewed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today in order for it to be included on the website. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.

Based on observation, the provider did not ensure small electrical appliances such as a toaster oven was unplugged unless being used by the caregiver.
Evidence:
There was a toaster oven not being used, plugged in on the counter.
Plan of Correction: I will ensure that all small appliances are unplugged.
