Inspector Notes
An unannounced 60-day monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/4/24 from 9:40am to 10:55am with the provider and one new assistant. There were six children in care, ranging in age from 13-months to three-years-old, for a total of 17 points. Children were observed having free play, reading and discussing a book about fruits, washing hands, eating a snack, and doing puzzles. Five child records and one assistant record were reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider is not administering medication at this time, and is aware of the requirement to obtain Medication Administration Training before changing their policy. Morning snack served was apples, crackers, and milk. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
