Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on July 15, 2024 from 8:50 AM until 11:45 AM. There were 90 children present with 15 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s).

Based on review of nine staff records and interview, the center did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children obtained certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record for staff #4 (employment date 4/9/2024), and staff #9 (employment date 4/1/2024) did not contain documentation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
2. Administration verified that the CPR had not been completed for staff #4 and staff #9.
