For staff hired before July 1, 2024, providers must obtain the results of a central registry search for an employee, within 30 days of service. Caregiver #1 did not have central registry search results during the inspection and has been employed for over five months.

Documentation of a negative tuberculosis (TB) screening must be submitted at the time of employment, before coming into contact with children, and shall have been completed within the last 30 days of the date of employment. Staff #1 had no documentation and had been employed for five months.

Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children. Bleach was found in an unlocked cabinet in the main classroom, out of reach of children.

When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated. Several of the children's food containers in the center were not dated.
Plan of Correction: The center will implement a new system to ensure that food brought from home will be labeled with the date.
