Inspector Notes
An unannounced inspection was completed on 08/06/2024 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 08/01/2024 relating to an allegation of nutrition and food services. The inspector reviewed one child record on-site. This inspection included document review and interviews.
The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on August 28, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.
Violations
1Based on interview and documentation reviewed, a child with a diagnosed food allergy was served a food identified in the child?s written allergy care plan.
Evidence:
On 07/31/2024 the parent of C1, age 5 had a food delivery service deliver a McDonald?s meal to the daycare center for C1?s lunch. C1 picked up one of the two delivery bags that were taken to the classroom from the delivery service and consumed a chocolate milk that was in the bag. Staff, S1 observed C1 drinking the milk and stopped her. Center staff report that C1 drank approximately 1/2 of the milk in the carton before the staff could intervene. The allergy care plan for C1 contains documentation of diagnosed allergies to dairy.
