Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 01/23/2025, as a part of the conditional licensure period. The onsite inspection began at 10am and ended at 11:15am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present, 1 resident child, and 2 caregivers; the point total was 21. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records, 2 caregiver records, and 2 household members record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Providers are required to ensure that wood burning stoves and fireplaces and associated chimneys are inspected annually by a knowledgeable inspector to verify that the devices are properly installed, maintained, and cleaned as needed. Documentation of the inspection and cleaning shall be maintained by the provider.

The family day home has a wood burning stove. The provider does not have documentation of an inspection and cleaning by a knowledgeable inspector.
Plan of Correction: The provider will schedule an inspection and cleaning within the next month.
