Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on January 24, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 1:20 p.m. and ended at 2:25 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There we 11 children in care with 3 caregivers; the point total was 13. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records and 1 caregiver record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on February 3, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-350-E
Hot water at taps available to children shall be maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F. The two water taps used by children in the outdoor building, was measured by a thermometer and the temperature was 94?F.
Plan of Correction: Install new water heater and increase flow rate of water faucets.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
Emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care. Emergency evacuation drills haven't been practiced since September 20, 2024.
Plan of Correction: Practice monthly drills effective immediately.
